Personal Page
I was born in Xalapa, Veracruz, México in 1977. I have a twin brother (who is a scientist too) and you may say that I'm the oldest of my two brothers. I lived and studied in my birth-city until 1995 when I moved to Ensenada, Baja California, to start my studies in Computer Engineering at UABC.
While in the university, I worked in the campus' library first as librarian assistant, then as data base administrator, tech support manager, software developer, software-hardware consultant and finally as IT manager.
After graduation (2001) I kept my position in the library for one more year as I became a teacher in the Engineering Faculty and worked as software/hardware consultant for several business firms in Ensenada.
In 2002 I left the library (with much regret) but I was happy to start my MSc degree at CICESE working in a HCI project with my dear teachers and colleagues PhD Jesus Favela and PhD Victor Gonzalez.
After receiving my MSc degree in Computer Sciences (2004) I went back to Xalapa, where I started as System Developer for "Grupo Tell-Fust S.A. de C.V." and then as IT manager. In 2006, I started as Tech Support Chief in "SCM-Tell S.A. de C.V." and then as IT Manager.

Personal Interests
I claim my self as an eager reader. Although what I'm able to read now are only technical papers, operational manuals and scientific papers, I'm a science-fiction and adventure fan.
My favorite series are (or were) Friends, SGA, SG1, Smallville, Bones, CSI and Without a Trace, so you may say that I like comedy, adventure and science fiction series and movies.
I'm also a basketball fan (which I like to think I play well) and also a rookie swimmer.
I have no special talent for music, but I play classic organ, piano and guitar. I have a particular taste for high-contrasting music (Linkin Park, Evanescence, Mozart, Bach, T.A.T.U.) and ballad songs (specially those written by my little brother Ray).
